Artist Statement
Through symbolic settings and figures, I weave feminine narratives, exploring themes of suffering, resilience, and the search for meaning beyond the physicality of this world. I give voice to the untold stories of ordinary women, those heroines and victims whose lives intertwine. It is a spiritual exploration, a dive into their inner worlds. My inspiration is deeply feminist. From historical writers like Marguerite Porete to women sacred practices of the past, my work is a celebration of the strength and vulnerability inherent in the female experience. Soft-pastels acrylics or oils, create fragile layers that reveal imperfections – a nod to Japanese aesthetics and a rebellion against the sterile perfection of mass-produced art. Just like poetry, I capture the essence of a character, her story unfolding on a minimalist stage.
